# Free Tier Limits

Understand what's included in Daxeon's free tier and what happens when you reach a limit.

The free tier provides real protection for your community. This page explains each limit in detail so you know exactly what to expect.

## Daily Filter Cap (5 actions/day)

Daxeon's chat filters (link filter, address filter, handle filter, invite filter) share a combined daily cap of **5 filtered actions** on the free tier.

### What counts as an action

Each successful message deletion by a chat filter counts as one action. Messages that pass through because they match your allowlist do not count.

### What happens when you hit the cap

* Messages will pass through unfiltered until the cap resets or a vote adds another action
* Your log channel receives a notification each time filtering stops, with links to vote and to upgrade. If no log channel is set, the server owner gets the notification by DM instead, once per day

### Earn extra actions by voting

Each vote for Daxeon on [Top.gg](https://top.gg) adds **1 filter action** to your server's cap for that day, up to **5 extra**, so a free server can reach 10 actions a day.

* Any member of your server can vote. Use [`/vote`](/daxeon-knowledge-hub/command-reference/vote.md) or the vote button on the cap notice, so the vote is linked to your server
* Votes count whether you've hit the cap or not. If filtering had stopped, it resumes right away and your log channel gets a short notice
* Top.gg lets each person vote once every 12 hours, and every vote counts as 1, including on weekends
* Extra actions you don't use expire at midnight UTC
* Votes add nothing on Premium or PRO, which have no cap

### When does it reset

The daily cap resets at **midnight UTC** every day.

## Allowlist Limits

Free tier servers can add a limited number of entries to each allowlist type:

| Domains (links)          | 20 entries         | Unlimited |
| Wallet addresses         | 5 entries          | Unlimited |
| Discord invites and apps | 5 entries combined | Unlimited |
| ADA Handles              | 5 entries          | Unlimited |

### What happens when you hit the limit

When you try to add an entry beyond the limit, Daxeon responds with an error message and a prompt to upgrade. Your existing allowlist entries continue to work normally.

## Exempt Channels (3 channels)

Free tier servers can exempt up to **3 channels** from chat filters. Messages in exempt channels bypass all filtering (links, addresses, handles, invites).

This is useful for channels like `#bot-commands` or `#team-chat` where filters would get in the way.

### What happens when you hit the limit

When you try to exempt a fourth channel with `/chat_filters exempt_channel add`, Daxeon responds with an error message and a prompt to upgrade. Your existing exemptions continue to work normally.

## Scammer Network (Alert Only)

The free tier connects your server to Daxeon's network-wide scammer database. When a known scammer joins your server, Daxeon sends a **log notification** so your moderators can take action.

On Premium, scammers are **automatically banned** on join. Premium also unlocks the `/scammers flag` command, which lets your moderators flag users as scammers across the entire Daxeon network.

## Premium-Only Features

The following features are not available on the free tier:

* **User Filters** - Blocked nicknames, avatar protection, and account age filtering
* **Channel Locks** - Password-based protection for critical channels
* **2FA for Moderators** - Two-factor authentication for sensitive operations
* **Bot Purging** - Automatic removal of unverified users every 30 minutes
* **Webhook Monitoring** - Detection and logging of suspicious webhooks
* **Scammer Flagging** - The `/scammers flag` command for reporting scammers to the network

These features are completely disabled on the free tier. There is no partial access or reduced functionality; they simply do not appear in the setup wizard or respond to commands.
